Mikko Lyytinen is a visual artist from Finland. He studied in the Lahti Institute of Fine Arts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011. Soon after his graduation he won the first prize in the Art of Basware competition for young artists. Since then he has had several solo exhibitions around Finland and has participated in and as many group and joint exhibitions. His art is inspired by nature and spirituality as much as technology and progress – influence can come from any direction; from ancient myths to every day experience. Chaos, change and growth have been some of the main underlying subjects throughout his work, which ranges from large abstract, expressive oil paintings to fantastic and surreal digital drawings.
