Massimo Magee is a writer, artist and musician based in London. His work is wide-ranging, including fiction, text art, sound and image audiovisual digital art pieces, experimental music (improvised, composed and everything in between), free jazz, radically extended saxophony, electronics, data manipulation and much more. He has performed internationally and records for 577 Records, among other labels. His audiovisual novel, Variations on an Inexhaustible Theme, is forthcoming from Eleusinian Press.
He creates audiovisual digital art objects, each one designed to be read by the computer as both a visual still image and a piece of audio, these being two readings of the same file. This is 21st century multimedia art derived from the twin lineages of abstract image-making and experimental music, a transcendent glitch ritual liberation programme.
